The City of Philadelphia Wants to Drink With Bloggers.

The city is holding a happy hour for bloggers and creative types next Wednesday, September 8, at National Mechanics. The idea is to create a dialogue between bloggers and the city regarding the incorrectly dubbed "Blogger's tax."

This is in response to the outrage created when the city asked several bloggers to pay a business privilege tax as the bloggers are classified by tax officials as businesses.

Details of the event can be found here.

It could be a good way to meet other bloggers and small business folks. It could also be a trap for the city to find more tax revenue.
