Even if you put a paywall on your website, can you generate enough revenue to pay for the creation of content?
The revenue generated via subscribers of the Wall Street Journal online and the Times of London's website is just a quarter of the revenue generated by the respective print editions, according to a recent study.
On top of that, establishing a paywall often cuts the readership down significantly, meaning that advertising rates will have to drop as well.
Is the future of journalism really online? Does print have a future?
